We went in to see if they had a C6 on display for heritage sake (they only had an exposition about the evolution of the Picasso models and this DS3 Rally in the basement). It made us a bit sad that there was no mention of the C6 whatsoever, they had a sign on the wall with all current models and with all the 'famous' hydractive ones (DS, SM, GS, CX).
We were most sad that they had run out of scale models of the C6, I would have expected at least a scale model of the presidential car :-(.
This caused me to look on eBay for C6 models and then I got to some neat looking !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . This brings me to the question: what are acceptable modifications to a car like a Citroën C6? Should I keep everything as stock as possible?

I just came back from Paris recently! :D
Did you see the Toyota/Renault/Citroen shops as well?

Do people even modify C6s?

Yeah, The Toyota one was surprisingly devoid of any Japaneseness. I would have expected a bit more of their racing heritage than Le Mans. With Renault it was a bit disappointing they had no Alpine, but mostly electric cars.

Except for armor plating for the president, probably not ;-)

Isn't the French presidential car a DS5?

What would you change about the C6? I can't think of much. Different wheels? An engine tune? I wouldn't myself.
Or you could go for the rear louvers

I was just happy I finally got to see a 2000GT, tbh. Also, back to the original question, I think you should keep everything stock on the C6. It's like modifying an E-class- it doesn't look right. Except maybe the wheels?

Apparently Hollande does, but Chirac and Sarkozy drove a C6. I assume it belongs to the state and not personally to him (and I wonder how comfy a DS5 is from Paris to Brussels with a convertible roof)

I just hope Hollande doesn't wish to open the roof anytime soon.

That's probably true, since it is too 'round', on a BX/old E-class it can make the car look much better.
We have 'Mega Spokera' rims that we got from the dealer for the winter tires. I was thinking of getting a spare set of the original rims, but I don't think I can handle messing up beautiful rims like that with driving through half a meter of snow...

What modifications to you want to make?
You could find a new Jaguar 3.0 Diesel S engine for a drastic modification, as it's essentially the same engine but better and stuff.
The valve caps look cool.
